Mechanical Inspector, Mitcham

Our client who manufactures bespoke, high value components for the Aerospace and Oil & Gs sectors require an additional Mechanical Inspector to join their team. The working week compromises of a 38 hour week Monday to Thursday working: 14:00 to 22:30 with 30 mins lunch, Friday 14:00 to 22:00 with plenty of overtime available. (Paid at time and half). Responsibilities • Create, load, examine and modify CMM programmes. • Carry out first off inspection • Carry out FAIRS • Identify and report errors. • Adhere to company quality procedures. • Used to working to fine tolerances in a range of materials. • Be familiar with a wide range of measuring equipment; Verniers, Callipers, Micrometres etc etc and confident using them. Requirements • Preferably apprentice trained quality inspector / mechanical inspector. • Experienced with CMM software. • Excellent organisational skills. • Computer literate • Attention to detail and disciplined. • Ability to work under strict deadlines. • Excellent communication skills.
