Workshop Manager, Enfield

Core Group are currently recruiting for a Welding/Fabrication Workshop Manager run a busy workshop in North London. Duties: * Ensure all welding and fabrication operations are carried out and executed in a manner which meets the requirements of the customer. * Assess steel fabrication requirements for site installations, review drawings / raise questions and resolve any design issues with the client and installation team. * Manage the programme of fabrication work to meet client deadlines and liaise with Project and Build Managers to agree completion dates. * Manage a team of up to 25 welder and fabricators, ensuring the workshop is efficient and running smoothly. * Understand technical drawings and plans in order to complete the project to the customer's specification. * Ensure that the Factory Control Processes are kept to at all times during manufacture, production and the day to day running of the workshop. * Ensure that quality control and assurance are maintained and conform to the correct standards. * Ensure selection, suitability and control of materials and welding consumables. * Ensure conformity to the day to day health and safety of the workshop. Requirements: * Understanding and knowledge of welding procedures * Strong welding/fabrication background * Strong quality background Offer * £30k - 40k per annum depending on experience. * Permanent employment
