IT Systems Administrator / Infrastructure Engineer / 3rd Line Engineer, E14
Reputable and stable financial organisation are looking for an IT Systems Administrator / 3rd line Engineer / Infrastructure Engineer to join the Global Operations team. This is the first UK hire for this role (although there will be other IT colleagues in your wider team based with you) and you will be reporting into the US so it will require someone who is a self-starter, can work independently and has good communication skills.
As a 3000 person global company, the infrastructure is complex and this role will cover Windows, Linux, AWS, Virtualisation / VMWare, Networking, Storage and DNS.
You dont need to be an expert in all of these, but certainly the more you have an understanding of, the better.
Working on a variety of projects and escalated issues you will be an excellent problem solver and consider troubleshooting as one of your key strengths as you determine and resolve the root cause of issues. In addition to monitoring, Configuration Management, scheduled maintenance, upgrades, patches etc.
