Graduate Actuarial Analyst, London

We are looking to recruit a graduate to join our well established Actuarial Team in London to start in January/February 2019.In the role, the successful individual will deliver high quality actuarial work within the Actuarial Technical Centre (ATC) in the pensions industry. The Actuarial Team at Capita provide a broad range of tailored actuarial services to trustees of pension schemes of all sizes, including cash balance and hybrid arrangements.What you will do: * Calculations for actuarial valuations or other funding exercises * Interrogation of data and pension scheme documents * Calculations for pension scheme accounting (FRS,IAS/US GAAP) * Specification of bases for individual and scheme funding calculations * Programming and running of actuarial valuation systems * Designing and running spreadsheet calculations * Specify scope of work and determine data requirements * Specify data and information required for projects and liaise with suppliers of that information * Drafting report, letters, memoranda and presentations * Demonstrate experience and exam progression as determined by Head of Actuarial Services * Develops and continually strengthens pensions knowledgeYour experience will include: * Honours graduate in mathematics, economics or related subject, with at least a 2.2 and A-C grade in A-level Mathematics (or maths related subject) or equivalent * Good communication skills both written and verbal * Proactive with the ability to work flexibly and under pressure * Commercially aware * Works positively with colleagues * Good presentation skills (or ability to acquire such skills) * Good IT skills (Microsoft)This position offers funding for professional actuarial qualifications if desired.About Employee SolutionsCapita Employee Solutions (CES) is one of the largest employee benefits consultancies in the UK; a multi award-winning organisation servicing over 1,600 clients and more than 4 million company employees and pension scheme members. Due to continued growth and with a very busy order book for 2019 my client has a vacancy for a Contracts Manager.
The Contracts Manager will be responsible for managing projects from start to completion, ensuring projects run to programme and budget and that all work is completed to a very high standard.
