Care & Support Assistant - Part-Time Opportunities - 18.75 hours per week We have a new and exciting opportunity to be involved in One Housing first Learning disability service located in West Hampstead. The Role We require experienced Care & Support Assistants who are also enthusiastic and motivated to be involved in our new Supported Living service in the London Borough of Camden. We are looking for individuals who have experience of working with people with a Learning Disability The successful individuals will have the ability to work consistently with the customer’s that they will be supporting. Working in a person centred way with the intention of empowering people to make decisions and become an active member of their community. As a Care and support assistant you will be responsible for the day to day support of the customers whilst building and maintaining relationships with families. The post holder will have the ability to grow and develop within a flexible staff team to ensure delivery of the required outcomes for this service. Role Requirements * We are looking for individuals who have experience with Learning Disability/Vulnerable adults in a supported living setting. * Ability to create an environment that promotes opportunities for customers to develop, learn and enable skills towards independence and potential employment. * Provide customers with personal care as and when required. * Assist in the delivery of a high quality, person centered care and support service which reflects best practice and adheres to all relevant legislation and performance standards. * In accommodation based services, liaise closely with the Housing Management Team to identify problems with Housing Benefit payments, review rent collection and address other tenancy-related matters. * Actively participate in supervision, appraisal sessions as well as staff meetings and support planning meetings. * Flexible to work throughout 7 days and sleep ins.
