To work within their ambitious IT managed service provider that offers a range of IT support services. This is a customer facing technical role. The company has a dedicated team of experienced engineers supporting both on premise and cloud based server estates. The support is supplemented with provision of project solutions which are increasingly IT compliance and cyber security solutions. Responsibilities Commercial duties: Be the technical lead at client facing meetings. Support the Managing Director and sales team at meetings and presentations. Prepare and present proposals and tender responses including technical and commercial content. Account management with client representatives. Selling additional services to existing clients. Identify commercial opportunities with existing clients. Identify opportunities for new product and service sales. Technical duties: Develop solutions to meet the business requirements of clients. Presales support including the definition, development and presentation of technical solutions to non-technical senior clients representatives. Maintain a knowledge of industry trends, technologies and drivers. Briefing clients as an expert in cyber security technologies and how these apply to current regulations and certifications including GDPR, Cyber Essentials and ISO27001. The Person The successful candidate will have demonstrated his/her pre-sales skills in a similar or related business. The key skills required are: Ability to interpret business requirements into technical and commercial proposals. Very strong interpersonal skills. Results driven and proactive. Good experience of solutions development including SaaS and IaaS elements. Excellent written communication with prior experience of document creation. Experience of presenting to C-level individuals. Strong leadership skills with ability to demonstrate their previous success in this area. Good technical experience across a range of contemporary technologies. In addition the person should be able to demonstrate their intellectual capabilities through a good educational record. As part of a small team, we are looking for a dynamic individual who is flexible in approach, can manage their own time effectively, and work without close supervision. Involvement in project delivery for rollouts, migrations and new installations. Remote and on site resolution of end user issues. Monitoring and control of disaster recovery and data backups.
