Job Purpose You will need to hold a Level 6 or above qualification in Nursing/Medicine/Healthcare Science and or other related disciplines. Medical Practitioner Teacher/Assessor will be developing and delivering Healthcare across levels, 5+6 programmes within The World of Work Ltd, which will include Apprenticeship programmes. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities * Carry out Skills Scans on all new learners * Manage the delivery within your given cohorts/learner allocations * Ensure that learners take part in a programme of study for Health Care Science that enables them to achieve progression during their time with WOW. * Liaise with the Functional Skills team regarding learner's progress with Maths and Englireinforceinforce key information to Stakeholders * Contribute to the design and implemention of Healthcare Science. In particular, creating a bank of resources and lesson plans on the VLE system. * Ensure that we achieve a 100% success rate for all our HSC Programmes. * Attend and contribute to HCS/Course Team/Standardisation meetings * Track learners progress * Set targets for learners * Complete monthly/weekly reviews * Upload work to the learners E-Portfolio and maintain paper-based records * Mark work in a timely manner and give feedback (within 5 working days) * Create Lesson Plans and Schemes of Work * Assist in the development of new curriculums * Ensure the highest level of quality across all HSC provision within WOW. * Build a reputation within the sector for HSC being a key strength of WOW. * Carry out Health & Safety visits * Abide by WOW Data Protection Policy * Actively participate in the Appraisal Scheme * Participate in the implementation of and compliance with the provisions othe f legislation and good practice relating to Health & Safety. * Work with WOW values. They must be able to build and sustain effective working relationships with people, staff, and the wider community. This role requires you to hit the ground running. You will be required to keep learners motivated and on track throughout the duration of their Apprenticeship and or any other courses being undertaken. This will involve setting them tasks to complete when you are not there, carrying out observations on the work they are completing and gathering witness testimonials and statements from other colleagues and staff. Good level of literacy and numeracy skills will be required in order to assist learners in preparing for Functional Skills tests. You will be required to build good relationships with the Managers and staff of the places that you are visiting. Health and Social Care Assessing roles will involve travel to residential care homes and domiciliary care providers in the community. Education and Experience * Required: - Teaching Qualification- Minimum PTLLS/AET/L&D/ Recognised equivalent* * - Must have Maths & English GCSE C grade or above/functional skills level 2 * - Assessor qualification * Medical/Nursing/Healthcare Scientist Practitioners (Level 6/7) Desirable: - Qualified Teacher Status/QTLS -Level 5 Teaching qualification - Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance. -A level 7 qualification in Medicine/Healthcare Scientist/Nursing would be very advantageous. -Registered Medical Practitioner/Nurse Work Environment Your role will include working from the WOW Head Office and any other places that we are doing delivery from.
