Our exclusive client, a highly reputable cost consultancy is seeking to hire a Freelance QS professional (LTD co) for a long term freelance opportunity (minimum 6 months). Starting immediately, you will be managing various large scale residential developments for recognised developers and institutions in Central London, projects from £10m to over £200m (from smaller multi occupancy units to a 40 storey tower building) In recent years they’ve reached an acclaimed position in the new build residential arena, particularly in the ‘build to rent’ sector. Consequently their skills & expectations are high, whilst embracing new construction technologies and advancing off site construction methods in tandem. Candidates wishing to apply MUST have a Quantity Surveying degree and be MRICS (QS) with a significant exposure to new build residential developments in Central London. You MUST also have a significant and proven background within a consultancy environment in order to confidently manage all related pre & post contract administration duties. A highly successful, international, fast paced and dynamic business is seeking an Analyst to join their team based in their West London location on a fixed term contract basis. The role will be to provide high quality financial management information and provide analysis of the cost centre accounts to maintain cost control and provide management information to the senior managers. Business partnering senior non financial business areas will be a key element of this role as such a confident character is essential. Business Partnering * Improving the impact, and understanding, of financial reporting on business performance * Providing analysis and delivering insight that links financial reports to business strategies * Providing effective commercial procedures, or initiating change, to ensure key operational, commercial and financial targets are delivered Management accounts * Review and analyse the monthly management accounts as prepared by accounting and foreign sites. * Manage the accounting accruals, prepayments and allocations to ensure that revenue/cost and expense are accurately reflected and represented. * Calculate, review and generate revenue journals based on monthly schedules and forecast profit/loss. * Create monthly reporting analysis for business reviews. * Track costs and provide monthly reports on budget variances to the Director * Monthly analysis on key expenditure accounts * Provide detailed analysis on all cost drivers to support the Director and team in producing world class product at minimum cost. * Create monthly detailed forecasting schedules, providing associated reports and identifying potential issues * Preparation of budget working files and completion for each site. The candidate: You will be at least part qualified (CIMA or ACCA) with excellent communication and interpersonal skills as this role will have exposure to Senior Managers within the business. As such you will need to be confident and be able to manage your own workload. You will have worked for a large (ideally manufacturing) business in a commercial Management Accounting / Analytical role. Candidates should be available to start at short notice and be able to commit to a fixed term contract for at least 6 months.
