My client, a tier 1 main contractor are seeking a Site / Construction Manager on a £10m CAT A commercial office refurbishment in Central London. The project has some months remaining however the role will realistically be much longer as there is the opportunity to move on to upcoming projects of a similar nature. They are looking for someone with experience in large CAT A commercial office fit out projects. The project consists of new M&E plant, lift installation, raised flooring, ?facade restoration and full CAT A office fit out with exposed services. The successful candidate will be responsible for day to day site management, supporting and managing the subcontractors to deliver the project on time and will report to an on site Project Manager. My client a main contractor who work in a number of diverse fields require a Project Manager on an £70m part new build and part refurbishment of a laboratory in West London. They are seeking a candidate who is capable of being the on site Project Manager and report to the Project Director. The successful Project Manager will be charge of all production activities on site. This exciting project is coming out of the ground and is ahead of time and budget. The client are open to bringing on board candidates in both a contract or permanent capacity as they see it as more important to get the right candidate rather than how they are paid. The ideal candidate will have experience on laboratory projects or if not then some form of new build experience in healthcare developments, preferably having been involved from cradle to grave in a Project Manager role for an established main contractor. Duties Where necessary, lead the pre-construction team through the tender period Assist in the preparation of submission/presentation documentation Be the Team Leader on the project and develop a successful team ethic on site. Apply the performance management procedures for direct reports in the site team. Liaise with the Client and their advisors to fully understand their needs and expectations. Be responsible for instructing and co-ordinating Designers, Technical Consultants and Sub-contractors during the contract period. Ensure that with the Surveyor the risk mitigation strategy is effectively managed. Comply with company procedures exercising financial control throughout the project. Produce the Contract Programme, short term programmes, as built programmes and monitor / report progress as required. Block Site Manager, residential, Lewisham, Lewisham
My client, an established main contractor are seeking a Block Site Manager or Finishing/Site Manager who also has externals experience to work on their part new build part fit-out residential project in Lewisham. The project consists of in excess of 300 units of concrete frame apartments. The concrete frame is almost complete, the M&E is going in and the trades are on site such as brickwork, scaffolding etc. The project is 12 months in and has a further year and a half remaining. The project is a busy site with around 200 men and is a Construction Management programme. In terms of the team set up they have 9 blocks and 3 Project Managers and the blocks have been divided between the 3 PM’s respectively. The role will entail working closely with one of the said Project Managers across 3 of the blocks some a good working relationship between the two is essential. Initially the Block Manager will have duties covering day to day handling with the external/facade packages and sub contractors but this will evolve into a role which will also be concerned with the internals as the project develops so experience on both will naturally be desirable, specifically in the residential field. The successful candidate will be responsible for day to day site management, supporting and managing the subcontractors to deliver the project on time and will report to an on site Project Manager.
