Overview of the role:
Your role will be to plan, create and execute all aspects of Brand Protection. You will be responsible for Brand Protection Strategies and cyber investigations including any breach of copy right, trademarks, bar coding and/or any other intellectual property rights of the business in its entirety, paying particular attention to online ecommerce platforms.
Duties:
Managing and co-ordinating all aspects of Brand Protection regarding Intellectual Property infringements.
Enforcing Trade Marks, Copy Rights and Designs especially across all aspects of Sales Platforms such as Amazon and E-bay.
Record, maintain and audit the entire product portfolio, adding new lines weekly / monthly.
Implement record and report online cyber investigations as well as physical checks of product comparisons.
Interrogating and ensuring intellect is recorded in respect of on-line retailer’s process and protection of stock. Ensure this information is profiled and recorded for further business use & development.
Work closely with the internal team members in respect of design / marketing / and marking to assist in identifying perpetrators.
Introduce strategies and tools to add layers of intellectual copyright protection in the wider market place.
Ensuring comprehension, reporting and maintaining issues surrounding the unique bar coding registered to the business and all of its facets.
Developing and maintaining relationships with solution providers offering latest protection software / hardware, ensuring the business is supported by aligned service providers who specialise in the fraudulent activities of others.
Understand and educate key personnel within the organisation with relevant laws and acts that will enable all key business member to interpret what is needed to provide extra layers of security to Branch Protection.
Work closely with Border Security / customs on line retailers in relation to investigations thus providing infringement protection to the customers of the business.
Analyse opportunity’s within e-commerce by identifying trends and gaps in the market, in order that the sales team can increase the profitability of the customer base while also ensuring turnover for the overall business increases.
Provide supporting documentations to our e-commerce purchasers ensuring consumer confidence is prevalent and associated with the brand.

Senior Commercial Business Partner, London
Title: Senior Commercial Business Partner, DCC
Location: London
Background:
The Data Communications Company is responsible for the delivery of the shared infrastructure needed for energy suppliers to roll out 53 million electricity and gas smart meters by 2020. The DCC Licensee (Capita) is responsible for managing the smart metering service on behalf of its users and contracts with, and manages, the data and communications service providers.
Under its licence, DCC has an obligation to roll out smart meters to more than 99% of the properties in Great Britain, including the need to convert the already-installed SMETS1 meters onto the DCC infrastructure and to facilitate faster switching for consumers.
Commercial leadership, management and support is required across all of the Programmes which the DCC is currently and in the future will run. Today, the key Programmes are SMETS2, SMETS1 and Switching, and this role would principally be engaged in developing the strategy for, and then delivering that strategy across all Programmes with the exception of SMETS2 where there are pre-existing departments.
Future Programmes and projects will need to be supported, and this role will provide the first line of support to the relevant departments charged with delivering new programmes and new products.
Role
The Senior Commercial Business Partner will:
* Lead the negotiation of all external contracts required on behalf of the SMETS1and Switching programmes within the agreed timescales.
* Assist with the delivery the Commercial Strategy on behalf of New Programmes and Products yet to be developed alongside the internal stakeholder
* Develop commercial relationships, negotiate and contract with key service providers to each programme including meter manufacturers, telecommunications providers and data services and software providers.
* Lead where appropriate but have a sound knowledge of the market appetite for services to build and operate each service, then run competitive procurements for these. Requirements include agile development of bespoke cloud-based applications, data security, systems integration and hosting/operating.
* Work with the Programme Management team to ensure a joined-up approach to delivery such that the commercial support requirements are delivered to a high standard and at pace.
* As a member of the wider Commercial team, ensure that new service provider contracts are satisfactorily handed onto the relevant Contract Manager.
* Liaise with sponsors including at BEIS and OFGEM through regular programme governance activities to ensure that as a key stakeholder they support the DCC approach to supply chain development and management of the Commercial Strategy.
* Understand the parameters for programme cost models and financial measurement and reporting including internal and externally procured assurance. Ensure that the negotiated contractual terms are set within the budgeted costs within the model.
* Ensure financial KPIs are clearly defined and incorporated into commercial modelling to support both the DCC and SPs, providing economic and effective transparency required for Price Control.
