The designer will be required to work across the whole design process from initial concepts, through detailed design development and pre-production to manufacture. Job Description. Working on all aspects of the design process you will be required to undertake research in technical and social changes especially related to the workplace; develop designs from initial concepts, presentation renders, prototypes, models through to full manufacturing detailing within a small team environment. Work on a variety of projects, the majority of which are furniture related. Potential International travel to client and supplier sites (Europe, Asia and USA). Full time role with a three month trial period. Experience. A minimum of five years’ experience, of both concept and technical detailing skills, working on mass production furniture/products. (Applicants with less experience will not be considered) Advanced 3D modelling and rendering skills with excellent proficiency in Solid Works. A knowledge of moulding/casting methods, mass production, fabrication, assembly, upholstery methods and material capabilities.
