We are working with a global publishing firm who currently require a hands-on Test Lead/ Test Manager to join them on an interim basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced, digital blue-chip client who are continuing to evolve in the marketplace.
What you’ll be doing;
- The primary objective of the Test Lead is to plan test approaches, design, write and execute tests and analyse the results to assure software changes meet the agreed requirements.
- You will work both collaboratively and cross-functionally, gathering requirements and ensuring that the testing teams are performing in-line with project timelines and objectives.
As the Test Lead within the test team & the point of reference relating to quality, it is essential that you have the confidence/strength of character to ensure you push back (in the right way) against poor decisions from developers that could see software or code that is not fit for purpose being delivered.
What experience you will need;
- You should have a minimum 3-5 years experience in a Test Lead/QA Lead role.
- An in depth understanding of the full Software Delivery Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Experience within both the Agile/Waterfall methodologies.
- Experience of executing the full gamut of IT testing (System Test, SIT, UAT, Regression, Performance, etc.) in complex (i.e. multi-project, multi-system) environments.
- Experience in JIRA and Confluence
- Testing experience in AWS, cloud infrastructure and continuous integration environment
- In-depth experience in Oracle SQL, MySQL, API testing, EIP/Talend ETL, middleware testing, data ingestion testing and open source tools.
- Knowledge in Data Warehouse, data governance, SFTP, GDPR regulations
- Experience of writing test strategies, test approach and plans, including test effort and resource requirements.
- Previous experience managing test teams through test preparation and test execution, both onshore and offshore resources. Experience of delivering with vendor teams would be beneficial.
- Support defect triage and resolution processes
- Demonstrable experience in the timely delivery of test phases from small-large scale IT programmes/projects.
