Becoming a Head of Business Assurance with Capita Central Government Services: Location - UK Wide Flexible Competitive Salary and Benfits As a Head of Business Assurance this role will largely involve providing guidance to the businesses to understand and complete the specific activities that are required to ensure the business meets the minimum requirements to be compliant with any relevant legislation, regulation and Group mandated policies. The Business Assurance role will provide support to the Central Government Services businesses in relation to a number of areas of compliance and as required, such as What you will do: * The Business Assurance role will provide support to the CGS businesses in relation to a number of areas of compliance and as required, such as: * Information Security * Incident Management & Reporting * Data Protection (GDPR) * Management Systems process documentation * Business Continuity /Disaster Recovery plans * Safety, Health & Environment (SH&E); Physical Security * Risk register and reviews * Audits – Internal (business), External (certifying body), Client and GIA * Group Policy; Bid/Tender support ; Group Essential Training compliance levels * Compile and monitor Gifts and Hospitality submissions * The Business Assurance role also covers the ongoing review of the required inputs into these systems to ensure the quality and accuracy of submissions for Central Government Services (CGS) businesses. * There is also a requirement for liaison with Divisional and Group leads to drive and support any compliance related initiatives and introduction or changes to policy across the businesses. * Finally, there is a requirement for formal monthly, annual and ad hoc reporting. Current monthly reports are Divisional Information Security Report (DISO) and outstanding Group Internal Audit actions. Annual are for Gifts and Hospitality. * Experience of Group systems such as - Casper, Protiviti , Eclipse would be advantage. Your experience will include: * Sound understanding of Risk Management principles. * Knowledge of key pieces of legislation and regulation such as HSAW 1974, DPA 1998 (soon to be GDPR), LOLER, PUWER. Becoming a PMO Manager with DCC Smart Metering: Location – London (Travel to other DCC sites would be required) Competitive Salary and benefits About the role: Working with the Programme Leadership team, the PMO Manager will be accountable for the provision of all PMO services whilst delegating responsibility across their PMO team to achieve maximum effectiveness. To maintain an effective link to senior management the PMO Manager will report directly to the Portfolio Governance Director and work on a day to day basis with the Programme team. What you will do: The key accountabilities for a PMO Manager will be: * Governance, Scope & Controls. -Ensure Programmes adhere to CDM and CR processes, providing coaching on DCC Governance Standards. -Organising and administering the governance timetable and achievement of stage gates, collating and quality assuring inputs to support, and providing “critical friend” challenge and coaching to appropriate members of the -Programme Team when inputs are insufficient. -Ensure Assurance findings and recommendation are addressed by the Programme, and monitor future adherence ahead of future Assurance reviews. -Collate Programme and Project level Inventory Data and feed into Portfolio Inventory Management processes. -Own Configuration Management for supported Programme. -Collates materials and provides the secretariat for intra-programme governance and toplevel meetings. -Organising and administering the governance timetable – collating and quality assuring inputs to support successful meetings * Stakeholder Engagement -Works with Programme Managers and Project Managers to enable them to apply pragmatic governance to projects in line with DCC Governance Standards. * Reporting & RAID Management -Provide scrutiny, challenge and insight across the programme and review the programme level reporting and governance. -Sufficiently understands the content to feed high level reports to the central PMO’s Reporting & Governance Lead. -Provide scrutiny, challenge and insight across the programme and review the quality and accuracy of risk. -Liaising with the Portfolio Office to ensure approach consistency and feed high level updates to Risk/Issues Lead for DCC collation. -Managing the programme level Risk & Issues log, proactively chasing actions * Planning Programme planning, providing scrutiny, challenge and insight across the programme and review the accuracy of plans. * Cost, Resource & Benefit Management -Proactivity manage resource management process for the programme, reacting and coordinating responses to consolidated Programme level time records with the Portfolio office. -Supporting Programme Managers and Project Managers and the Price Control team with the collation of information supporting the programmes’ Price Control submission to Ofgem. Your experience will include: * An individual who has operated as a PMO Manager providing insight, challenge and ensuring accuracy and quality across the Programme. Able to have the robust conversations with the Programme Director and adhere to governance and process. * A broad experience of working in central government commercial digital implementation management programmes / PMO environments and managing PSOs who are utilising recognised Government PPM methodologies to plan, drive execution against that, manage risks and issues, and adhere to controls. * Exceptional collaboration and relationship development/management skills including with the confidence to effectively challenge others where appropriate * Excellent communication and drafting skills with an ability to filter/interpret technical programme updates and provide clear, concise reports for non-technical audiences * Proficient use of MS applications including Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio. * Knowledge of MS SharePoint * Experience of financial tracking and reporting against targets / budgets About DCC Smart Metering At DCC Smart Metering we’ve built the data and communications infrastructure that will support the mass roll out of smart electricity and gas meters to homes and small businesses across the country.
