Empowering learning are recruiting Graduate Support Assistant for our highly regarded Exploring SEND workshop on Wednesday 4th April 2018. If you are a graduate considering a future in teaching but don’t have any classroom based experience, then our SEND workshop will give you the opportunity to start your career in Education as an Learning Support Assistant within an SEND setting. Our SEND specialist will deliver an Introduction to working with children and young adults with special needs. You will be required to attend a 1-day workshop, the session will last up to 4-hours and will cover different areas of SEND such as working with pupils with PMLD, Autism and Down Syndrome. This workshop will also look in to dealing with Challenging Behaviour and will help you better understand how to deal with this when are working as a Learning Support Assistant. Once the 1-day workshop is completed, we will then help you find a voluntary position for 4-5 days within one of our partnered SEND schools based in London. The 1-day Exploring SEND workshop will be FREE of charge and your voluntary placement is unpaid, once both are completed you will be able to work for Empowering learning as a learning Support Assistant on a part-time or full-time basis.

Job Requirements

Container Controller, London
We are currently recruiting for a Global Shipping/Logistics Company for Container Controller for a leading retailer, based in their offices in London. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for an established business in a challenging role.
We are looking for an individual with previous container shipping experience, and preferably cargo control experience.
The purpose of this role is to achieve maximum vessel utilisation for both Far east and Trans-Atlantic trade lanes whilst providing an interface between the CMA Cargo FLOW. Country offices, Product team, Operations teams and Commercial departments, respecting the requirements and constraints of both.
- Target 100% TEU/DWT utilisation for Laden on vessels Ensure that vessels wherever possible sail Europe around 100% either TEU/DWT utilisation for Laden.
- Accurate and regular performance reporting. This includes a forecasting tool showing historic data, the weekly UT report, weekly sales/trade communique and other adhoc performance reports.
- Allocation control of field offices. Maintain vessel allocations for all European Booking Offices. Maintain vessel allocations for all European Booking Offices. Ensure that field offices are fully utilising the allocations assigned to them.
- Enforce roll procedure, protect commitments and notification procedure. Enforce notification procedure so that all European Booking Offices return any unused allocation for redistribution to other booking offices. Enforce roll procedure to avoid last minute or unexpected shut outs from vessels.
- Implementing new deployments. Assist regional management implementing new deployments, inclusive but not limited to coordinating electronic work and publishing schedule, cut-off and similar info.
- Diversion administration. Filter all diversion requests involving European gateways and destinations, ensuring each request is properly forwarded and executed timely as needed.
- Contingency planning for Europe Cargoes (Import and Export). In the case of Port omits, cut and runs, dry docking etc.
Education
- Educated to A-Level or similar/equivalent level
- Excel skills essential
- CCAM / Lara or Lisa awareness preferable
Experience
- Previous container shipping experience
- Cargo control experience preferred
- Numeric proficient
